PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Consultant performs tasks involved in the implementation of the SAP Retail solution as per customer requirements using a pre-defined methodology. The Consultant gathers
requirements, analyzes the client's business processes, and configures the SAP solution to support those business processes.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Independently handle any Retail end-to-end implementation
- Understands the quality and delivery processes on SAP and delivers as per the required standards
- Participate in customer discovery, proof of concepts, demos etc.
- Demonstrates an ability to create an understanding with peers and ask for help, share information when required
- Demonstrates ability to motivate the team towards achieving the shared vision and team objectives and gain others commitment
- Conceptualizes and thinks about innovatively to build new processes/solutions
- Contributes his learnings and thoughs to the team and helps in Knowledge harvesting
Contributes to the following primary activities of SAP implementation
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops
- Design
- Configuration
- Testing
- Training
- Data Migration
- Documentation
- Post Implementation Support
Provide product and business related expertise to support the following:
- Customer Demos
- Proof of Concept building
- Product testing and validation
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Post Graduate degree from a reputed institute
Required skills:
- Ability to understand and document the business processes and requirements
- Good knowledge of Supply Chain concepts (Replenishment, Forecasting, Cross docking, Flow through, Inventory Optimization)
- Experience with WM systems is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to interact with and explain to the customers (of various nationalities and cultural backgrounds), the concepts and logic of mapping their processes with SAP System
- Direct experience / Conceptual knowledge of retail specific processes will be a huge plus
- SAP experience or certification in the MM module
- Knowhow of Procurement process, Rebates, Subsequent Settlements, Inter-company processes, MM-FI interfacing
- Experience with SAP Retail system will be a plus
- Understanding of Retail Best Practices across fashion/grocery/general merchandising
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture concepts will be a plus
Foreign languages:
- English at business level is mandatory
- German at least at conversational level is mandatory
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 end to end implementation experience in a functional or business-facing role
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience out of which the mandatory requirements mentioned above must apply
TRAVEL
- Availability and willingness to travel and be deployed internationally for varying lengths of time.
