Short task description
Configuration Manager and Tool Support (CM) for complex and safety-critical railway interlocking systems. The main responsibilities are:
- Responsible for the CM Tool-Chain and the work environment of the project.
- Responsible for creating and releasing baselines.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining the CM data repositories.
- Collects questions, change requests, and other issues concerning the CM process and the general CM procedures and rules (as documented in project>kit) and informs the responsible process expert.
- Assists the personnel in the application of all CM procedures and rules and requests training, if necessary.
- Creates and maintains scripts for tools integration.
- Performs administrative activities for maintaining and optimizing the servers.
The tasks will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts from Germany.
Professional competencies
Education:
- Computer science graduates (Automatics and Computers Faculty, Informatics, Faculty of Cybernetics)
Requested technical competences:
- Administration of UNIX or LINUX
- Experience in shell scripting (bash) and/or Perl
- At least 2 years experience in software development under version control or as configuration manager
Would be a plus:
- ClearCase or other versioning system
- ClearQuest or other bug reporting tools
- Editing tools (EMACS or VI)
- German language
- Relevant knowledge in the railway field, interlocking systems or signalling
Personal competencies:
- Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
- Team-working
- Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
