Commercial Inventory Planner/ Manager

RESPONSABILITATI

The main objective of the job is to procure finished goods inventory to ensure product is available to meet Customer Demand contributing to targeted levels of customer service whilst meeting the Company's working capital goals.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage and co-ordinate the procurement of product from all suppliers of finished goods to ensure availability to meet Customer Demand on the due date and to achieve company budgeted service levels.
- Maintain finished goods inventory within company working capital targets
- Monitor actual inventory against policy levels and take appropriate corrective action
- Review Finished Goods Inventory policy on a periodic basis and recommend changes appropriate to improve performance.
- Review inventory variables each month and co-ordinate a regular review of finished goods inventory coverage necessary to meet service targets.
- Promote and exploit the benefits of Demand /Pull concepts across the supplier base. Negotiate minimum lead times and lot sizes as a basis for inventory reduction.
- Interact with manufacturing plants for overseas sourced products to ensure new and re-launched products meet target dates and quality levels.
- If inventory is insufficient to satisfy demand or projected demand work with source to secure optimum priority and prioritize production across the range of affected SKUs.
- Work with Demand Planner if supply does not cover demand to minimize impact on service levels.
- Prepare and present inventory projections each month as a basis for working capital and storage space calculations.
- Manage the conversion of product from production format to the selling format.
- Liaise with production planner or the co-packing planner to ensure accurate and timely conversion and the accurate processing in SAP.
- Manage the dispatch of finished goods to Inter Company.
- Deliver the budgeted Key Performance Indicators across the following areas:
Finished Goods Inventory coverage levels
Finished Goods Inventory Availability - case fill
Forecast Accuracy at total company level
- Measure and report achievement of specified Customer Service Key Performance Indicators each month, identify gaps and recommend corrective action.
- Evaluate Key Performance Indicators reporting in SAP; establish any discrepancies and co-ordinate correction.
- Review configuration of SAP to support inventory management processes and Key Performance Indicators - instigate necessary changes.
