In the following decade, the company concentrated on expanding the sales network, which developed at record speed. In this tenth anniversary year, wholesale customers in the capital city have the choice between four METRO Cash & Carry stores. A total of 23 stores are now available across the country in the following counties: Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, Timisoara, Cluj, Bacau, Craiova, Baia Mare, Iasi, Suceava, Galati, Ploiesti, Oradea, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Pitesti and Arad, with a total selling space of over 161,000 sqm and a number of 17.500 products on its shelves.
