- The successful candidate will be a member of a multi-national team of Object Oriented C++ embedded developers working on leading edge telephony, data networking, and VoIP product.
- The primary role will be to support the team on issues that arise with the ClearCase Source Configuration Management System, generate firmware releases and address customer problems.
Activities include:
- Manage day-to-day Clearcase Administration
- Create, modify and troubleshoot VOBs and associated triggers as required
- Assist with deliveries & rebasing of streams as required
- Troubleshoot Views (both snapshot & dynamic)
- Liaise with internal support organizations both locally and at remote sites to ensure system up-time
- Perform release build tasks; create and maintain build scripts and perform builds on demand; monitor and trouble-shoot file replication between sites
- Develop and deliver software for a real time telecommunication hybrid system (telephony switch).
- Through all development phases, including: Design, code and test
- Participation in design reviews, code inspections, requirements definition, and test plan and customer documentation reviews.
- 2/3 years C/C++ Object Oriented Development Experience
- Previous hands on experience with Base or UCM ClearCase or other SCM Systems like CVS, RCS, SourceSafe, SubVersion etc.
- Perl, Rexx, Python, Windows/Unix shell scripting
- Experience with Installshield or similar tools
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Multi-Site administration experience of UCM ClearCase
- Experience of build systems, complex project integration and compilers
- General IT experience including web design, databases, networking, systems management
- Embedded development skills
- Experienced with data/IP networking
- Familiar with telephony products (PBX and CTI ¿ Voice Mail, Automatic Attendant, IVR¿s) and protocols (T1/E1 ISDN QSIG, ETSI; Q.931; IP Telephony H.323/SIP, RTP)

Education:
- A good degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
