- RIS Romania is currently looking to add COBOL programmers to our existing team in Bucharest.
- Working remotely from Romania, the individuals will collaborate with RIS staff located in Toronto, Canada.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Working on new development projects.
- Providing enhancements to existing applications.
- Occasionally working on problems/bugs fixing.
- To qualify for a position with RIS, you must have good command of English language together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a customer-centric attitude and a passion for problem solving.
Mandatory skills are:
- 2+ years of experience with COBOL programming
- Good English skills, both written and verbal.
- Works as part of a team, but as an individual contributor.
- Self starter, motivated, client focused.
Experience/exposure with any of the following is an advantage, but not mandatory (will train):
- DB2 or any other major database.
- IBM mainframe (CICS, TSO, JCL) or AS400 equivalent.
