Job Title: Civil Works Engineer
Department: Civil Engineering
Location: Bucharest / Romania
Reports to: Civil Works Leader
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To review Basic Design Package and Engineering specification
- To design the pile location plans
- To design the foundation loading diagram
- To prepare the foundation drawings
- To provide typical connection details
- To take off the bulk material
- To maintain the daily Site Diary (Report)
- To approve the concrete mix design in accordance with the approved technical documentation/ requirements
- To handle all Civil Technical queries and investigating all field related problems including the drawing of field sketches,
when necessary, in accordance with the approved technical documentation
- To prepare as-built drawings
- To coordinate with Engineering and Construction the liaison with the Client on detail engineering requirements
- To carry out site surveys
- To develop job specifications and documentation
Financial Responsibilities:
None
Staff Responsibilities:
Supervising the civil works team
Checking the implementation of the civil works design requirements.
Safety Responsibilities:
To insure that the activities are performed in compliance with the provision of the HSE Manual and related procedures and with the local safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have :
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
- Experience in design and implementation of civil works and buildings for industrial plants;
- Experience in: choosing the right types of materials and components to be used,
preparation of technical procedures, of the tender technical specifications and of the estimates for
civil works implementation; evaluation of the Subcontractors¿/Suppliers¿ offers.
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Knowledge of the software programs, of office automation and CAD programs and of application-oriented
programs for concrete / steel structures calculation.
