On behalf of our client, top engineering consultancy company - integrated engineering, construction, and management solutions for businesses and governments worldwide - we are searching for an very well experienced Civil Structural Engineer.
You'll be responsible for:
- Perform basic engineering calculations, prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
Relationships:
Under the direction of the Supervising Discipline Engineer, Engineers maintain project coordination with all other disciplines on an assigned project.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Keeps the supervising engineer advised as to status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems.
2. Supervises, assigns work, sets work priorities, evaluates and trains technical and engineering personnel.
3. Provides technical assistance and guidance to technical and engineering personnel.
4. Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities.
5. Assures quality, quantity, and completeness of the engineering required.
6. Plans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned projects.
7. Maintains timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
8. Maintains proper engineering files and records.
9. Performs other engineering related work as required.
Education: Constructions University graduated.
MTCT (MLPTL) Verifier Authorisation
Experience: +7 years engineering experience in heavy construction.
Language requirements: Fluent in English
Detail Description: Experience in design of heavy industry structures including steel and concrete design. Familiarity with American building codes such as UBC desired. Familiarity with the American steel (AISC) and concrete (ACI) codes desirable.
Experience with analysis programs such as STAAD Pro or SAP is also desirable.
