- Work with Design Engineering Company and liaise with Civil / Structural Engineering to get timely technical concurrence for design
- Participate in design reviews on a weekly basis Ensure constructability process is applied
- Work with the Construction Manager and Civil / Structural Engineering in the selection of companies and resources for quality assurance and quality control
- Be involved and sometimes lead a daily follow-up meeting on construction progress
- Be involved in the weekly formal review meeting with Designer and Contractor to co-ordinate state of design, construction and procurement
- Define stretch / optimum CPS, align contractor, project team and operations and deliver against the plan
- Liaise with Civil / Structural Engineering, Plant Engineering and contractors and lead setting up of clear QA site procedures
- Ensure agreed procedures, general industry practices and standards and Contractor’s QA plan are strictly followed
- Hold daily meetings to identify critical issues and agree immediate remedial actions
- Hold weekly formal review meetings on overall quality satisfaction and potential readjustment of the procedures
- Support the Construction Manager and Construction Safety Engineer to ensure that the Safety Management Program is followed
- Cost control on a daily and weekly basis
- Forecasting on a weekly basis
- Support Project Manager and Construction Manager in managing scope changes
- Monitor contractor deviations from specifications
- Provide pre-assessment of potential changes in terms of cost and advise
- Technically validate scope changes proposed by contractor and act as scope owner for specific areas
- Follow change management procedure
- Put document system in place
- Own quality assurance project documentation and ensure it meets site and Civil / Structural Engineering needs
- Support the Construction Safety Engineer with the permit process
- Manage testing reports
- Manage quality control records
- Manage as built drawings
- Qualified Civil/Structural engineer
- 5 years Experience with Civil / Structural Construction Engineering
- Experience in dealing with Quantity Surveying Methods
- Experience in building and managing complex CPS
- Experience in managing Design and Build contracts
- Familiar with local construction regulations and building codes
- Good communication and reporting skills in English language
