-Directs the preparation of engineering and design guides and procedures for power plant.
-Co-ordinates work within the discipline and with other Principal Engineers to achieve a balanced overall design.
-Provides technical guidance to the project discipline by direct consultation, technical bulletins and other formats.
-Acts as a source of technical discipline knowledge.
-Monitors technical, economic and schedule activities of the discipline on all projects.
-Works with project personnel to build and maintain client relations.
-Assists the Project Engineering Manager in establishing and implementing technical project requirements, preparing discipline work plans and implementing of the engineering/purchasing schedules and cost estimates.
-Assists in establishing project design bases taking into consideration costs, technology, operability, availability, and maintainability.
-In conjunction with the Project Engineering Manager, determines the need for the employment of expert discipline consultants.
-Recommends the assignment of Supervising Discipline Engineers and oversees the assignment of other engineering and design personnel to meet project requirements.
-Institute Design Review teams, as required to ensure quality of engineering conformance with project definition and to comply with regulatory requirements.
-Interfaces with peers in other offices to enhance good engineering and cost effective practices, as well as commonality of procedures and practices.
-Conforms to company core values and assists other to adhere to them.
-Monitors progress and quality of outside consulting services.
-Fully understands the function of vendor documents and can develop and set the level of rearview required for engineer¿¿¿s discipline.
-Assesses the technical adequacy of a specific discipline on an independent basis.
-Promotes sharing of and gives consideration to leases learned and technical bulletins.
-Promotes and take appropriate action to maximize utilization of technical personnel within a specific discipline among business units.
-Monitors compliance with state law on practice of engineering.
-Analyzes and documents engineering practices, manpower expenditures and costs related to the experience and performance of the office projects.
-Technical discussions and clarifications with clients, in-house and abroad.
-Determine man-hour requirements and schedules for Discipline consistent with the project requirements and schedule. Make arrangements for staffing of project with qualified personnel.
-University degree ¿¿¿ mechanics.
-Experience in working in multinational environment outside Romania.
-Relevant experience with power plants both design and in site.
-15-20 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and site.
-Experience in managerial activities ( somewhere between 5 to 10 years.
-Experience in power industry.
-High management skills.
-Fluency in English is a must.
