The Chief Accountant responsibilities mainly refer to the following fields:
- Preparing Profit and Loss Account , Balance Sheet, Cashflow, bank reconciliations and other reports as requested;
- Being responsible for payroll, VAT procedures, Corporation tax;
- Dealing with banks, managing the external payments and receipts (in foreign and local currencies);
- Dealing with external auditors, other government bodies and other offices;
- Ensuring that unclear legislative issues are sorted out by drafting addresses to the Tax authorities;
- Reviewing the accounts prepared in accordance with Romanian Accounting Standards, IAS,;
- Contributes (personally and by managing junior staff) to the team to enable objectives and deadlines to be met;
- Supervising and coordinating accounting staff.
- The ideal candidate must have very good knowledge of RAS, IFRS, Romanian taxation, transfer pricing, Romanian commercial law and experience in management reporting.
- The candidate must have good communication skills, presentation skills, persuasiveness, ability to coordinate, motivate and influence people, ability to set priorities and follow up task completion, ability to delegate tasks and monitor the results, ability to work under pressure, flexibility in terms of working hours, attention to details.
- The candidate should also be proactive and dynamic.
