- Ensures the correct recording of company’s transactions in accordance with local laws and regulations, company’s policies and procedures;
- Ensures the closing requirements are met in line with corporate requirements and schedule;
- Reviews the monthly general ledger reconciliations completed by accounting team are correct and asses the appropriate actions for the differences; performs the reconciliation of local vs. US GAAP accounts;
- Examines, analyzes and interprets accounting records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements;
- Coordinates schedules, activities and reports with other departments. Establishes and maintains operating procedures;
- Assists with income tax fillings, financial statements and government compliances and SOX compliance audits, helps the preparation of working papers for the annual review;
- If necessary, interacts with banks, state authorities, internal and external auditors, employees, customers and suppliers;
- Manages or supervises accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results;
- Prepares the financial and operating reports including balance sheet, income statement, reports required by the group policy and fiscal declarations (tax returns); Reviews with Finance Manager the necessary adjustments and closing entries;
- Establishes, interprets and analyzes complex accounting records of financial statements;
- Revises the reporting internal procedures in line with the changes in local legislation, IFRS;
- Submits any required reports of business financial operations to the management of the company;
- Ensures compliance with the internal procedures, the management decisions and the legal requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Senior Accountant or 3 years as Chief Accountant, preferably in an international company;
- Bachelor degree in Business or Accounting;
- Accountant certificate (expert accountant/fiscal consultant);
- Very good knowledge of IFRS and Romanian accounting standards, fiscal and accounting principles and legislations; US GAAP knowledge is a plus;
- Working experience with Serbanes-Oxley controls and ERP systems is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of Excel tool;
- Proficiency in English language;
- Results oriented attitude;

- Excellent planning and organizing skills;
- Excellent analyzing abilities and attention to detail.
