Cellular Platform Group with FREESCALE SEMICONDUCTOR ROMANIA develops leading software solutions for Freescale’s 3G cellular platforms.
The Software Engineer works on advanced embedded Layer1 stack, low-level drivers, and BSP for the next generation of 3G wireless subscriber platforms.
Specific knowledge/skills:
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics.
- Experience in C/C++ development and Assembly language for embedded applications.
- Knowledge of microprocessors and peripherals architecture.
- Spoken and written English.
Experience in some of the following would be a plus:
- Knowledge of software configuration management, preferable ClearCase.
- Knowledge of methodologies and approaches in application development and testing.
- Wireless communication protocols (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS).
- Multimedia compression techniques (voice/audio/video codecs and players).
- Real-time applications & Real Time operating systems for DSPs, microcontrollers
