Key Responsibilities
We are looking for talented and engaged people to act as Category Manager for Insurance
In particular, the following activities are performed:
* Creation of transparency in the purchasing spend of the group and analysis of future needs
* Development of market and supplier insights
* Development, harmonization and implementation of innovative product group strategies. This includes initiating, designing, and pushing ahead cost reduction measures, as well as planning and execution of tenders
* Development of innovative negotiation concepts and strategies, and guiding contract negotiations
* Active supplier management (selection, evaluation and development) together with business partner
* Tracking group-specific overall goals (in terms of quality, logistics, costs), including reporting and initiation of necessary clarification, escalation, and corrective action
* Identification and assessment of risks for business (including insolvency risk, procurement market and country risks)
* Managing top managers expectations and relationships
* University degree or equivalent qualification
* More than 3 years of professional experience with ideally a focus on insurance
* Experience in working in a matrix organization
* Analytical and strategic thinking
* Procurement market knowledge and experience in managing local and global suppliers is a plus
* Ability to lead international negotiations and meetings with direct negotiating skills
* Team and communication skills
* English fluent
* Other European languages (French, Italian, Spanish) highly appreciated
* Very good with MS office, especially excel, power point
* Happy with foreign experience
