The Category Manager will manage the overall category for an Accenture client and provide periodic reviews of spend reports, savings reports, and industry analysis. Following these reviews the Category Manager will identify and communicate new saving/improvement opportunities to the client through the designated governance team for prioritization and scheduling..

Category Manager will provide periodic reports to the oversight committee to be defined as part of the governance structure, recommending specific actions to achieve adoption of specific procurement policies, behavioral and process changes, or establish strict accountabilities in order to attain savings objectives, including in instances when Accenture anticipates sizable opportunity cost or inability to produce projected savings due to supplier or user non-compliance. This will include analysis and tracking of issues, their criticality, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

 Refine current sourcing strategy and recommend suggestions for improvement
 Formulate procurement and category-specific policies and lead implementation.
 Develop supplier evaluation and selection criteria, monitor category trends – through market research if needed, as part of agreed procurement strategy.
 Identify and evaluate incumbent and potential supplier.Communicate with Sourcing Team in order to conduct RFx activities
 Manage contract development process &Perform operational review of contract performance for categories in scope.
 Establish metrics and monitor and report on supplier performance.
 Design supplier and user compliance management program, recommend policies and procedures as well as implementation and performance tracking program.
 Define accountabilities for compliance tracking, analysis, and reporting, and client participation.
 Build and maintain electronic contract library (Service Level Agreements, pricing and terms) for spend categories under management.
 Connect with Global Category Director and team to ensure best relevant knowledge and solutions are being applied where appropriate


CERINTE

 Minimum 4-6 years in category management - operational and strategic experience delivering indirect category specific sourcing/buying service, strategic sourcing, supplier/category management and compliance management
 Proven experience in a combination of the following Categories – Document Management, FM, IT, Marcom, People, Telecommunications, Travel
 University or Master Degree – Economics or BA preferred
 Proven ability to work independently and as a virtual team member.
 Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
 Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
 Strong project management skills
 Excellent customer service skills
 Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
 Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation & conflict management skills
 Proficient in Microsoft Office & experience in operating e-sourcing/ procurement technology
 Strong (business conversational/fluent) language ability in English
 Strong (business conversational/fluent) language ability in Spanish – nice to have
