Learn it and do it
The best way to learn is to do it. That is one of the reasons why the two-year M.I.S.E. programme combines hands-on job experience in your country of origin with theoretical training at the Maersk Business Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a M.I.S.E. trainee, you will be educated in economics, communications, business ethics, law, investment, cross-culture and parallel thinking. At the same time, our job rotation policy ensures you two or three different positions, in which you will gain valuable experience from your colleagues and daily responsibilities, preparing you for your further global career.
Are you M.I.S.E. material?
If you hold a relevant university or college degree can think and act with confidence and handle heavy responsibility, you have what it takes to be a M.I.S.E. trainee. This year, we got 85,325 applications from 86 countries. Only 453 energetic young people made it all the way. That is the kind of competition you are up against. We cannot promise you an executive lifestyle. But we can promise you the opportunity of a career from day one. The next M.I.S.E. programme starts on 1 August 2007.
Maersk Romania is currently seeking candidates for the Maersk International Shipping Education programme.
Finance M.I.S.E. trainee is a two-years programme that combines practical experience at A.P.Moller - Maersk Group with applied theory. The purpose of M.I.S.E. is to develop international employees and managers for our global activities. This makes M.I.S.E. an attractive career move for recent college and university graduates.
Finance M.I.S.E. focuses in providing the trainees with specialized competencies within investment, finance, accounting and auditing.
The position is based in Bucharest.
To enter the Finance M.I.S.E. programme you must:
-be a recent graduate of a college or university in economics and/or finance
- have very good commands of spoken and written English
- have very good computer/PC skills
- desire to work in a highly competitive environment that requires a high energy level and the ability to make decisions
- desire to work in a truly international environment with multiple cultures, languages and religions
- be ready to travel both domestically and internationally to the extent required
