We build software applications that allow trains to safely and securely bring passengers to their destination. These applications have high availability requirements, so they are not allowed to stall or randomly crash.
You will be part of the team responsible for designing and implementation of the rail logic within the system (Interlocking Module).
Job summary
• Define the architectural solutions on subsystem level
• Design, Implementation/Coding and Unit/Module testing
• Maintain existing product features, resolve issues and fix bugs

Professional competencies
Education:
• Technical study of Computer Science, Electronics, Transportation or other related field but your true knowledge consists in your passion.
Requested technical competencies:
• Strong knowledge of C language
• Experience using C++ language
• Experience from developing real-world projects for Unix/Solaris/Linux platforms.
• Experience of full project lifecycle: design and documentation, development, unit testing, refactoring, deployment and maintenance.
Would be a plus:
• Knowledge of GNU Toolchain
• Understanding of XML, schemas (XSD) and transforms (XSLT)
• Knowledge of Code Checkers (e.g. QAC)
• Knowledge of OOD (Design Patterns) and UML
• Knowledge of Rational UML tools
• Knowledge of Clearcase/ Subversion, ClearQuest or DOORS

Languages:
