Job Summary:
As part of our train control team you will be developing the next generation of Thales European Train Control System (ETCS). You will be responsible for:
• Design
• Implementation/Coding
• Unit test (automated test cases)
• Application maintenance and bug fixing
• Documentation
The development will be performed in close co-operation with experts in Austria.
Professional competencies
Education:
• Computer science graduates (Automatics and Computers, Informatics or Cybernetics)
Requested technical competences:
• C programming (very good knowledge)
• C++ programming (basic knowledge)
• Minimum one year experience in development of LINUX applications
• Very good knowledge of synchronization and multi-threaded programming
• Very good knowledge of the GNU toolchain
Would be a plus:
• ClearQuest or other bug reporting tools
• ClearCase, SVN or other versioning system
• Understanding of XML, schemas (XSD) and transforms (XSLT)
• Experience with development processes
