RESPONSABILITATI

• Negotiates terms / conclusion of contracts to guarantee certainty of supply with the best terms for goods;
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with the suppliers;
• Follow-up and permanent contact with the preferred suppliers in order to ensure the acquisition in time;
• Support internal customers for all needed information regarding provision of materials, purchasing process optimization and constraints;
• May work with suppliers to introduce new products, and relaunch existing products
• Monitor market changes, competitor prices and products, and past sales patterns to forecast future demand
• Source new products and alternative suppliers
• Help control stock levels by varying delivery schedules or recommending clearance sales
• Monitor the performance of product lines and suppliers, and, if necessary, terminate contracts.


CERINTE

• Minimum 3 years experience in a progressive high volume distribution, ideally construction materials utilizing a world-wide supply base or purchasing materials in a high volume distribution environment.
• Experience of construction materials would be an advantage.
• A proven track record in cost negotiation and cost analysis techniques.
• Good organization skills, IT literate; a team player with excellent problem solving abilities and tenacity; positive attitude and able to deal with pressure.
• Persuasion and influencing skills with excellent communication abilities;
• A proven track record of supply chain management and the ability to question the status quo and suggest improvements
• A high degree of commercial awareness
• Ability to analyze statistics and spot trends
• Verbal and written communication skills: foreign languages are increasingly useful negotiating skills
• Team working and decision-making skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel and work independently
