1st step: Analyze the BI needs
To participate in interviewing operation team and business departments (mainly marketing) on their needs regarding BI domain.
2ndstep: Develop the BI solution
To specify / develop / validate the BI solution
To ensure data extraction are taken into account by the services
To deploy it
To maintain it as Level 3 support (additional developments, performance improvements, redesigns)
Activities :
Organize meetings for interviews
Propose proper BI solution and agree with internal customers on user requirements, deliverables and time frame for implementation
Develop the BI solution according to plan: ETL process development, data transformations inside data warehouse, custom reports creation, OLAP
Demonstrated knowledge of data mining solutions (at least one of the following: Microsoft OLAP, Business Object, Cognos, MicroStrategy)
Experience with ETL process design and maintenance (both Microsoft and open source tools appreciated)
Knowledge of open source reporting solutions like BIRT, Jasper would be a plus
Good knowledge of web standards and J2EE architectures is a plus
Experience with agile methodology (ie Scrum)
Knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
