- Responsible for the development and maintenance of business continuity, emergency response and business security strategies, targeting physical sites security, quality control, technical security, IT security and disaster recovery;
- Manages the implementantion of the BC&S plans for the group of companies in such a way as to ensure cost-effective, flexible and efficient services which support locations and offices for all their needs in case of business interruptions;
- Researches and implementes best practice risk management and business continuity and security methodologies;
- Establishes an audit process which will validate compliance with standards, review solutions, verify appropriate levels of maintenance and exercise activities and validate the plans are current, accurate and complete;
- Monitors the suitability of the recovery solutions (people, buildings and equipment) and ensure at all times the recovery strategies agreed can be effected;
- Determines the risks (events and surroundings) that can affect a business continuity, performs business impact analyses and risk assessments; recommendations for strategic and operational improvements related to security, business continuity and emergency management;
- Identifies and reports the impacts resulting from business interruptions that can affect the organization and techniques that can be used to quantify and qualify such impacts;
- Plans and conducts training, periodic exercises and drills to ensure BC&S awareness and all aspects of the corporate BC&S. Evaluates outcome of exercises and provides debriefing and recommendations for improvement;
- Makes sure the BC&S plans are viable and that team members are properly educated on roles and responsibilities;
- Creates BC&S knowledge resources throughout the group of companies, and distributes BC&S news, updates, initiatives and directions from Corporate level to operational units and functional departments;
- Participates in negotiating internal service level agreements; specifies requirements for new or changes to existing services/suppliers; participates in contractor selection, directs the work of contract security staff and monitors performance of same; manages and monitors the security budget;
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external contacts; liaises, consults and collaborates with other staff, clients, contractors, law enforcement and other agencies involved in security and emergency management work;
- Minimum 5 years in one or more of the following areas: risk assessment, operations management and/or finance, business continuity, or similar experience.
- Minimum 3 years in the Security industry or extensive knowledge about this industry.
- At least an university degree in a relevant subject.
- Certifications as a: Certified Protection Professional, and/or Physical Security Professional, and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and/or Certified Business Continuity Planner, are a great asset.
- Has a sound understanding and broad view of how a company operates.
- Ability to work effectively with business lines and operational management to develop BC&S strategies that are closely aligned with business objectives.
- Experience with data center disaster recovery planning is a great plus.
- Confidence to operate effectively with the management level.
- A high level of initiative and accuracy in high pressure situations.
- Strong communications skills, both orally and in writing, in Romanian and at least in English.
- Strong interpersonal and presentational skills. Advanced report writing skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
