Job Purpose

The Business Consultant is responsible for providing functional application and banking support in one or more banking areas throughout all functional stages of TEMENOS products implementation projects. The Business Consultant is capable of working with clients or partners in delivering the implementation of a specific product as part of the overall project delivery.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Demonstrate strong Stakeholder Management Skills with all contacts;
• Coordinate with the TEMENOS maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems identified are understood and resolved;
• The Business Consultant is expected to have a good knowledge in at least one of the following business areas:
o Core Banking and Retail
o Corporate Banking and Trade Finance
o Payments
o Treasury
o Private Wealth Management
o Financial Accounting and Reporting
• Analyse client business requirements and relate them to TEMENOS products capability;
• Define and validate customization needs for TEMENOS products as per agreed business definitions;
• Prepare and perform the configuration of TEMENOS products through the definition of static and semi-static data for the installation of the core system;
• Prepare and perform the functional testing to support User Acceptance Testing;
• Review client organization, processes and workflows and propose of a ‘post-picture’ to maximize the benefit from TEMENOS’ products;
• Conduct parts or all of the User training in a subject, which includes design, customization and update of Training Materials and Handouts;
• The role requires substantial travel – normally on client site Monday to Friday and back at weekends, however there may be periods where they will be expected to extend the periods away from home.


CERINTE

• Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with a minimum of five years of experience in Finance or in banking software consultancy;
• Language skills: Must be fluent in English – verbal and written. Additional language skills would be of benefit;
• Technical knowledge: Good understanding of financial and banking processes around Credits, Accounting, Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities, Private Wealth Management, Trade Finance, Retail and Corporate Banking. IT oriented: knowledge of a banking software applications, excellent knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel as well as other MS Office environment applications;
• Product knowledge: To gain good knowledge in one specific product. Area and be able to successfully implement this.
