Responsible for porting I-play mobile games onto new and existing US cellular phones
Responsible for creating and developing embedded I-play mobile game demo’s onto various new wireless handsets entering the US market
Responsible for designing and developing new operator specific features into US wireless devices
Willing to learn automated porting tools for wireless devices
Responsible for providing input to the I-play standards documentation
Assist team members with technical challenges and game design processes
Assist artists, producers and other team member with all aspects of game development
Keep up to date with mobile cellular technology and new generation game technology
Evaluate new game engines and technologies
Adhere to departmental schedules, practices and procedures; improve on development processes as appropriate
Monitor and coordinate development process with external resources
4 years in the software industry; substantive experience in gaming with hands on game development expertise desirable
Proficient in BREW and J2ME with solid background in wireless game programming
2D/3D background a plus
User and developer experience of mobile phones.
Exceptional analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Able to work effectively in an extremely fast paced environment and respond well under the pressure of tight schedules and deadlines
Demonstrated understanding of project management methodology and tools; experience in all phases of production, including full development process, workflow and multi-team requirements
Excellent listening and communication skills; able to communicate team and project goals in a clear and strategic manner
Must possess a strong work ethic and the desire to develop and release the highest quality of games
Must have a strong appreciation for the gaming and the mobile entertainment industry
Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of related experience and education
