Job scope:The Brand Manager (BM) is directly responsible and accountable for the profitable business development of one or several brands. His/her key contribution will be:
- to lead the development, planning and execution of most marketing activities (launches, re-launches, BTL activities);
- to lead the development and implementation of brand strategies (communication, pricing, media);
- to lead the development of new product initiatives (market and consumer research, product research, concept and communication development, packaging development).

A successful Brand Manager will move to the next level, Senior Brand Manager, after 2-3 years, depending on performance. There, he/she will be responsible for a portfolio of brands as well as selected corporate projects, reporting to the Marketing Manager.

Job responsibilities:
Promotions:
In close cooperation with the financial analysts, Trade Marketing, Purchasing and the BTL/advertising agencies, develop, recommend and execute all promotions on his/her brand (price promotions, sampling, raffles, premium packs, overfills, etc.). Assess the impact of those promotions (financial, trial generation, penetration increase and consumption effect and equity build) and recommend follow-up action.
Launch & re-launches:
In close cooperation with the responsible departments, coordinate all related activities (product & concept research, tests, communication, packaging, media, consumer promotion, distribution plan, POSM, trade promotion, financial assessment, etc.) - most to be led by the BM him/herself; recommend the final plan; assess the outcome and submit a follow-up recommendation.
Brand strategy:
Develop and implementing the communication, media and pricing strategies. This will be done by analyzing consumer research, both quantitative and qualitative; by searching worldwide best practices within the Danone group; by commissioning to the advertising agency new campaigns; by developing in cooperation with the agency actionable media strategies and plans, both ad-hoc and long-term; by analyzing market and competitive data.
New product initiatives:
Identify and exploit new product initiatives through analyzing market and consumer research data; searching and re-deploying or adapting successful initiatives worldwide; qualifying new products, concepts and packages; developing new advertising; assessing the financial impact of such initiatives.

CERINTE

- Education:University Degree, preferably in economics or business administration
- Experience:Minimum 2 years marketing management experience, ideally in a multinational FMCG company.
Competencies:
- Analytical person with good business acumen;
- Self-driven, able to operate effectively in the context of a high pace working environment, with significant autonomy;
- A learner, willing to invest time and effort in further building his/her proficiency;
- Business oriented, yet able to follow the discipline of correct process and methods in the face of day-to-day urgencies;
- Highly effective in working with others, both inside and outside the organization;
Travel requirements: 5%, most within Romania, for Sales Conferences and field market visits.
- Occasional travel abroad to take part in workshops or seminars.
- PC skills:Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Languages:Fluency in English, both written and spoken
