General:
The BO Messaging Engineer works with deployment and delivery telecom and data com services. The position implies working with deployment and delivery telecom and data com services under managed services agreements with major mobile operators worldwide
Responsabilities:
- Finds solutions to problems with some guidance
- Assures 2nd level restoration and preventive maintenance
- Assures performance analysis and short term measures for optimization
- Assures performance reporting to enable long-term improvements
- Define and set up of routines, schedules and reporting templates based on goals and priorities defined
- Define support systems set-up for collection of performance statistics
- Prepare, test and implement services configuration changes as development groups delivered
- Able to troubleshoot and improve level of skills to colleagues from his team.
Technical
- advanced Unix skills (at least 3 years hands-on administration experience)
- advanced SQL skills (minimum 3 years hands-on experience)
- Shell Scripting (PL/SQL, PHP)
- Windows skills
Education
- University degree
Others
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- If needed, prepared for working abroad (mainly European countries) up to 6 - 9 months per year
- 24h x 7 on call availability for critical issues
Nice to have requirements
- at least 1 year with messaging systems and applications (SMS, MMS, Voice/ Videomail)
- One year experience in Technical Support area, in Telecom industry or similar industry
- DB (Oracle, LDAP)
- Middleware (Tibco, BEAWL, JVM)
- Web Apps ( Apache, Tomcat, SQUID)
