General:
- This role is part of 3rd line technical support team within Ericsson GSDC in Romania;
- Main purpose of job is to offer 3rd level support on Unix platforms and maintain high quality relations with other FO/ BO teams. Track and manage problem escalations via an industry standard call tracking system and co-ordinate implementation of root cause fixes with suppliers. Provide high level service to the customer strictly observing current SLAs and WLAs.
Responsabilities:
- Finds solutions to problems with some guidance
- Assures 2nd level restoration and preventive maintenance
- Assures performance analysis and short term measures for optimization
- Assures performance reporting to enable long-term improvements
- Define and set up of routines, schedules and reporting templates based on goals and priorities defined
- Define support systems set-up for collection of performance statistics
- Prepare, test and implement services configuration changes as development groups delivered
- Able to troubleshoot and improve level of skills to colleagues from his team.
Technical
- 3 Years supporting large UNIX Infrastructures in a 24 x7 Business Critical environment
- 3 years Solaris Administration experience v8 / 10
- 3 years Veritas Cluster / SUN Cluster and Veritas File System Management
- 3 Years LDAP / DNS
- 3 years UNIX backup and System Recovery
- 3 years Server networking including TCP/IP / NFS
- 2 Years SUN H/W Platform Management RSC / Console / Jumpstart / HBA
- 2 Years HP Openview Monitoring Integration
- 1 Years Perl Scripting / Shell Scripting
- 1 Years Solaris Container / Zone Configurations
- 3 years HP/UX Administration experience v11, 11iv2 11iv3
- 3 years Service Guard Cluster Management
- Demonstrable Knowledge of Vendor Escalation and Management
Education
- Technical university degree (IT/Telecom)
Others
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- 24h x 7 on call availability for critical issues
- Availability for initial knowledge transfer abroad, 2-3 months
