General:
- This role is part of 3rd line technical support team within Ericsson GSDC in Romania;
- The position implies supporting and managing the Oracle database environments for GSDC’s Customers. The current supported environments contain circa 500 Databases.
- With controlled Service Levels and supporting key business process’s, the role will require you to Manage and Maintain availability of the database Infrastructures within defined Key Performance Indicators.
- To assist in maintaining high availability for our customers this role requires knowledge and experience to Manage change in a professional and procedural manner to avoid any unplanned downtime
. - Manage faults within the fault management Service Level’s and Escalate where required to Operational and Vendors for assistance with restoration of service or support advise.
Responsabilities:
- Assist and improve service availability
- Install and build of new solutions and infrastructure
- Improve procedures for infrastructure builds, operation and support
- Provide Oracle Pro-active and re-active Administration
- Provide 24x7 on-call cover on a weekly rota basis
- Implement product-related upgrades and patches
- Primary liaison with Vendor for Escalated Oracle problems
- Mentor and help develop the Front Office Teams skills
- Oracle (9/9i RAC/10G, ASM, RMAN recovery)
- Microsoft SQL Server (administration, replication, clustering)
- PostgreSQL (administration, replication, clustering)
- MySQL (administration, replication, clustering)
- SQL script writing and debugging, application code tuning techniques
RAC=Real Application Cluster, ASM=Automatic Storage Management, RMAN=Recovery Manager

- University degree

- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- 24h x 7 on call availability for critical issues
- Availability for initial knowledge transfer abroad, 2-3 months
