General:
- This role implies provisioning of 3rd line Microsoft Server support and proactive monitoring of live systems.
Responsabilities:
- Problem identification, resolution, and root cause analysis
- Provision of 3rd line Microsoft server application support
- Design and implementation of new requirements into both Corporate and Production networks
- Analysis of business requirements to produce functional and supportable solutions
- Proactive monitoring of live systems
- Key contributor, takes lead role in applying technical knowledge within own discipline or on specific projects
Technical
- Must have extensive working knowledge and experience of latest versions of Windows and
- Must be able to Plan and Implement new technologies into the existing info-structure with maximum resilience and minimal impact
- Must have extensive working knowledge of Microsoft clustering and blade technologies
- Excellent knowledge of Exchange 2003 & 2007 operating in a live corporate environment
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Clustering, DFS and replication with maximum resilience in design
- Good knowledge of virtualisation technologies, including Citrix and VMWare
- Senior specialist in a given area and widely regarded as someone with special expertise & skills
Education
- Technical university degree, engineering or computing
Others
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- 24h x 7 on call availability for critical issues
- Availability for initial knowledge transfer abroad, 2-3 months
