We are currently recruiting for an experienced BMS/Fire Systems Design Estimator for a job based in Bucharest. Working within a busy project focused team; the estimator role requires the translation of customer requirements, drawings and specifications to create leading BMS/Fire System designs for key customers/projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide the professional sales team with a wide knowledge of both BMS and Energy Monitoring skills; understand the
influence that their position can have on potential customers.
• Provide good grounded cost base for all estimates; understand the market position regarding the type of work we are
bidding.
• Ability to manage a bid process from end to end including the all relevant disciplines that are required even if not directly
involved in the estimating of those costs.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, including attending customer sites/visits
• Provide written technical descriptions of operation; ability to author the documents to reach a varied audience.
• Delivery of both fire and BMS quotations on Design and Build specifications.
• Be able to fully understand and articulate the requirements of a specification; be able to look at alternatives that will
deliver the same results but in a more cost effective way.
• Understand the need to deliver specification compliant tenders, but also be able to look at the potential value engineering
opportunities.
Qualifications
• Experience gained within the building services / solutions industry.
• Experience of designing BMS / Energy Monitoring Systems
• Ability to understand technical specifications
• Gained qualifications to up hold the relevant requirements to design both BMS and Energy Monitoring systems, including but not limited to, good working knowledge of the BISRIA commissioning methodologies.
• Ability to deliver budget quotes based on industry standard 'price per point' knowledge.
