Our client:
- Our client is a foreign-owned mid-size bank, active in Romania since 1996, very well capitalized and professionally managed
- This bank has a growing network of branches all over the country, and it deals with corporate clients, as well as individuals.
The position:

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparing and verifying the financial accounts
- ensuring that books of accounts are prepared and maintained in accordance with applicable local legislation and bank policies.
- preparing financial/management reports (Notes to the Romanian accounts, fixed assets schedules etc.).
- managing accounts and preparing financial information for an individual, department, company or other establishment.
- analyzing financial statements and reports and provide financial, business and tax advice
- keeping up-to-date with relevant changes in legislation and bank policies
- examining accounting records and preparing financial statements and reports
- reconciling the correspondent accounts with internal accounts
- performing period-end activities for local and head office reporting purposes as part of the functions of the Finance and Accounting Department.
- ensuring that all reports and accounting documents are timely and accurately prepared and presented to the Chief Accountant
- preparing income tax returns from accounting records
- assisting internal and external auditors
- understanding of the local legilation and local accounting regulations.
We require:
- excellent educational background, faculty of accounting
- at least three years bank accounting experience
- fluency in English, other European languages would constitute an advantage
- MS office skills
