Test of complex and safety-critical application software, including:
Creation of specification test cases on requirements basis
Implementation of test cases for unit test and subsystem test
Automation of test cases
Execution of manual and automated test scripts
Support of test environment, tools and simulation
Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress)
Development of test documentation
Regular reporting
The tests will be performed in close co-operation with experts from Thales Germany and/or Thales Austria.
Education:
Technical degree in Automatics, Transportation, Electronics, Cybernetics or other degree related to computer science
Requested technical competences:
Experience with software testing of complex software systems
Knowledge of scripting languages (shell scripting for Unix or Linux, Perl or others)
The following would be considered significant assets:
Development of software applications in C or Java
Knowledge of XML and related technologies
Experience with ClearCase or other version control software
Experience using GNU Toolchain, ClearQuest or Doors
Experience in railway application testing
Personal qualities

Team-work
Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
Availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
English
