The job purpose is to support in delivering accurate packaging artworks within the required timeframe by owning the artwork development and approval.
Job Scope:
The Artwork Planner is part of Customer Service Organization (CSO) at P&G Balkans level. The job owner is part of the Market Planning Group and works closely with multiple functions at different levels, like Marketing (brand), External Relations (ER), Legal, Customer Service team.
Internally it is in contact with:
- Local Multi Functional Teams (MFT)
Externally it is in contact with:
- Regional functions involved in the artwork development process.
Job responsibilities:
1. Project leader for packaging artwork projects
- Artwork timeframe owner – creates local artwork schedule within initiative. Works closely with market planner to create and deliver the initiative on time. Communicates to Initiative Leader/ project owner implications/consequences of changes (as part of Delivery Team Meetings communications)
- Ensure artwork activities are synchronized and integrated with key initiative activities/milestones.
- Facilitates meetings to address issues for both regular artwork development and customization projects (overlabeling, stickering)
- Acting as single point of contact between local teams and regional structures through timely transfer of information
- Ensure that all artwork data collected is accurate and complete.
2. Accountability for Results
- Owns delivery of key process measures for own projects.
- Ensures that the right functions approve the artworks.
- Tracks and communicates results for own artwork projects.
- Owns action plan for improvement of performance on artwork delivery process.
3. Develops Process Mastery
- Understands all interactions within artwork process
- Understands artwork process link with other processes.
- Holds people accountable for process adherence and works with management on systemic issues and solutions.
- Analyzes process performance and implement systemic solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Acts as “voice of experience” on artwork matters
Job qualifications:
1. Managing Complexity
This is a very complex role. It requires the ability to handle numerous packaging artworks at the same time with coordination of various functions (Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Product Supply) and organizations (local and regional P&G Teams). The job owner needs to be able to identify and resolve issues in the relevant sub-processes to keep artwork projects on time and/or to adjust artwork schedules accordingly. Job owner needs to be able to overcome multiple issues may occur and needs to have the ability identify mistakes on artworks.
2. Responsibility
The job owner has high responsibility – artworks are a key deliverable for an initiative. Artwork not being delivered accurate and right on time represents a risk for the whole initiative and can create huge cost and reputation issues for P&G.
3. Environment and communications
The role requires day-to-day contacts with different levels in P&G and with different functions (typically Marketing, ER, Legal,). Strong ability to adapt the communication style is needed to build productive relationships.
4. Autonomy
The role requires a high degree of autonomy to move the artwork packaging projects ahead. This includes the ability to recognize when issues need to be elevated, as day-to-day issues need to be resolved by the job owner. Need to be able to adapt quickly to changing business needs/ changing priority for initiatives and change priorities for artwork projects accordingly.
