Our primary product offerings include award-winning CodeWarrior™ development tools with compilers, debuggers, performance and analysis tools, silicon bring-up technology, and runtime technology for Linux, DSP OS, OSEK, AutoSAR.
Innovation is the driving force behind CodeWarrior™ technology. As a comprehensive software development solution, the backbone is the CodeWarrior™ Integrated Development Environment, built on Eclipse open source framework. Using CodeWarrior™, developers get the benefit of using common functionality across a broad range of Freescale processors and platforms. Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio: Digital Signal Processors and Controllers (e.g. StarCore), 32-bit Microcontrollers and Processors (e.g. Power Architecture, ColdFire), 8/16-bit Microcontrollers, 2.5G-3G+ Cellular Platforms, etc.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Developer Technology (DevTech) Applications Engineering provides expert engineering support for direct or escalated Email, Web-based customers for all DevTech products.

Basic purpose of job (Core function):
- Interacting on a day-to-day basis with customers (internal or external) to resolve technical support issues and manage the customer experience
- Generating technical content such as knowledge base or FAQ’s, whitepapers, internal training, and sample applications on a quarterly basis.

Duties and responsabilities:
- Manage the customer experience with embedded development tools by understanding customer needs and his interactions with the tools
- Maintain accurate and informative details of customer interactions using tracking database software
- Troubleshoot both hardware and software contained within various embedded system configurations
- Work concurrently with remote and local development teams to resolve issues
- Isolate software issues and develop test cases which demonstrate them from customer input
- Capture and isolate feature requests from customer input
- Participate in formal document reviews for external and internal use.
- Develop proactive technical content such as FAQ’s, whitepapers, and sample applications
- Provide feedback to management and product teams based on customer feedback
- Develop internal training modules for cross training purposes
