This position will have exposure to network security experts and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the team on this front as well.
This individual will be expected to work closely with the other members of the Application and Threat Intelligence (ATI) team.
Analyze existing application protocols, reverse the protocol, and implement the protocol into our engine
For proprietary or undocumented protocols, set up an infrastructure to capture the traffic in order to understand the protocol, reverse engineer it, and incorporate it into the current and future product lines
Contribute to our well-read blog about any technical topic of interest, including day-to-day work or outside interests, when possible
Strong programming in multiple languages (C and Ruby in particular)
Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack and OSI model
Working knowledge of XML
Deep knowledge of application layer protocols
Creative problem solving approach to projects
Preferred Skills:
Programming with Ruby
In-depth knowledge of protocol analyzers (e.g. Wireshark)
