-Produce quality application deliverables according to design requirements and timeline constraints
- Maintain and improve technical and business skill set
- Work in a collaborative manner with team members
- Building relational and OLAP databases, and writing and testing calculations and procedures
- Developing generic processes for extracting, transforming and loading data into OLAP and relational databases
- Building and testing generic templates and reports
- Creating custom functions and interfaces using VB script and ASP
- Communicating project status regularly to the Team Lead
- Collaborating with the Team Lead and other team members on the detailed design of processes and structures to meet product requirements
- Assisting with beta client implementations of the applications
- Assisting other departments on as needed basis
- Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong problem solving ability
- Ability to think in an abstract and general way about how to meet the needs of a large group of clients
- Experience in building databases and writing procedures in MS SQL 2005
- Experience in building cubes and writing MDX statements in Analysis Services 2005
- Experience with data transformation packages in SSIS 2005
- Ability to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and oral
- Must have a good understanding of Financial Reporting Concepts.
- Understanding of budgeting, financial consolidation, human resource planning, capital planning, or professional services budgeting will be considered an asset.
