-Identify, assess, develop and close new application opportunities at new and existing accounts in the region
- Create New Business Growth Opportunities through specifications and large growth opportunities above existing business at end users in the territory.
- Balance short term and long term objectives effectively
- Deliver on yearly Sales to New Business metrics and develop longer range target build.
- Provide direction to the Technical team to push development efforts
- Effectively integrate with Industry Managers, Product Managers, Account Managers-work closely with Industrial Design Engineering, Materials Management and Marketing team at customer end in order to achieve specifications;
- Manage and report information relevant to business development progress
- Learn/utilize business processes such as benchmarking, needs assessment, facilitation, contracting for value) to achieve growth and to develop upper level relationships at key OEM s
-Engineering/polymers degree
- 5+ years experience in marketing/sales or technical sales roles in a reputable company/companies
- Strong technical skills and understanding of polymers
- Strong business management skills
- High energy with a strong desire to deliver results
- Strong sense of accountability and respect for meeting the commitments
- Ability to LEAD a multi-functional team in a matrix management environment
- High level of self-confidence and ability to approach high level people at customers
- Solid analytical skills
- Can-do mentality
- Ability to manage complex business situations and to make rational decisions with speed and simplicity
