The Application Architect designs applications that may run on multiple platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages or customer-developed software obtained by gathering customer requirements and translating these into designs and architecture that best support the business and stay within the customer’s budget, scheduling, staffing, and skill constraints. The Application Architect also advises on development methods, environment, and processes.
