- Provides primary support for the AIX server platforms. Manages and supports end-users and the day-to-day operation;
- Provides support for the application developers in new applications installation and configuration on AIX platforms;
- Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of IBM pSeries systems;
- Maintains the release and configuration management for AIX systems and their SAN storage;
- Works with the Oracle DBA and application support to maintain and optimize bank¿s servers and client applications and patches on an IBM pSeries/AIX environment;
- Monitors the status of the installed systems on regular basis and if necessary takes corrective measures to improve the performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Systems;
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an AIX system administrator with proficiency in the management and optimization / tuning system performance;
- IBM certification highly desired: IBM pSeries AIX System Administration for AIX 5L V5.2 or V5.3 certified;
- Minimum of 3-5 years professional Information Technology experience;
- At least 2 or more of these years working with a large AIX environment (IBM RS/6000 or pSeries systems) in a high demand-based, service oriented environment;
- Knowledge to plan, install, configure, support, troubleshoot, determine problems and take appropriate remedial actions for IBM pSeries systems and SAN storage;
- Good communications, and interpersonal skills communications and interpersonal skills;
- Very good English knowledge.
