As a Technical Support specialist your main task will be to provide Layer 1 to Layer 3 support for our customers:
- Simulate customer issues into our labs and escalate fully-characterized problems to our development team
- Provide assistance via phone or email to our resellers in debugging problems found in live networks
- Correctly identify customer issues that represent system problems and raise bugs or feature requests
- Collaborate with our SQA teams to thoroughly test any issues encountered by our customers
- Digital telephony and voice signaling (NIS, EURO, QSIG, CAS)
- Good understanding of voice/fax coding (G7XX)
- Good understanding of telephony switching/PBX (Meridian).
- Good technical skills, good understanding of HW platforms/architectures for telecom
- Very good level of English
- Fundamentals of L2 WAN solutions (HDLC, circuit switched networks -Frame Relay, optical networks ATM)
- Fundamentals of IP and IP routing protocols
- Unix (Solaris/Linux) - user level
