As a Technical Support specialist your main task will be to provide OSI Layer 1 to Layer 3 support for our customers:
- Simulate customer issues into our labs and escalate fully-characterized problems to our development team
- Provide assistance via phone or email to our local engineers in debugging problems found in live networks
- Correctly identify the network issues that represent system problems and raise bugs or feature requests
- Collaborate with our SQA teams to thoroughly test any solution implemented by the design team
Very good theoretical background for wireline telecom (L2/L3 circuit switching/packet routing techniques)
Good understanding of WAN techniques (frame/cell based)
- Congestion Management
- Signaling for Virtual Circuits (reading standards?)
- QualityOfService for voice/data integrated solutions
Good understanding of IP Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
Experience in working with embedded platforms for telecom
- debugging commands for RealTime OS (Unix) based platforms
- able to understand the sw architecture/functionality for a specific implementation
- understanding specific HW architectures for telecom
Very good level of English.
