Advanced Java developer for the WebComponents Team
in our Bucharest-based development team.
Tasks
What would you do?
You will. . .
Have the opportunity to contribute to one of the most challenging projects that our company currently develops - a real time search engine for the biggest web portals in Europe: gmx.de and web.de.
This will imply searching through mailbox, attachments, messenger archives and other stored information within these applications.
You will be dealing with over 7 TB of data that must be daily indexed and available for search. Thousands of new entries per second.
If you have/are...
. . . 2+yrs core Java development;
. . . strong OOP knowledge;
. . . interested in new technologies;
. . . experience with working in a Linux environment;
. . . good ability to speak and understand English.
Would be a plus...
. . . Professional experience with Hadoop, Map Reduce, or Hbase;
. . . Server side java expertise;
. . . Professional experience with Lucene/Solr;
. . . Experience with Cassandra;
. . . Agile development methodology;
. . . Experience with developing distributed and scalable software
