. . . have the opportunity to contribute to one of the most challenging projects that our company currently develops - a real time search engine for the biggest web portals in Europe: gmx.de and web.de.
. . . this will imply real time indexing of mailboxes, attachments, messenger archives and other information stored within our applications.
. . . you will be dealing with over 7 TB of data that must be daily indexed and available for search, thousands of new entries per second.
. . . 2+yrs core Java development.
. . . strong OOP knowledge
. . . experience with server side applications in Java
. . . interested in new technologies;
. . . experience with working in a Linux environment
. . . good ability to speak and understand English.
Would be a plus. . .
. . . professional experience with Hadoop, Map Reduce or Hbase
. . . server side java expertise
. . . professional experience with Lucene/Solr
. . . experience with Cassandra
. . . agile development methodology.
. . . experience with developing distributed and scalable software.
