Reports to Country Manager
Accounting:
- Quarterly and monthly closing - accruals, fixed assets register, calculation of depreciation, stock valuation; -Liasing with auditors, preparation of yearly statutory accounts;
Tax:
- Ensure correct VAT legislation is applied across all brands and stores;
- Prepare VAT declaration and other tax returns(intrastat, construction industry scheme, business rates etc)
- Quarterly tax estimation, preparation of data for yearly tax computation, tax registration for new companies
Legal:
Liase with the legal dept re board minutes of meetings, statutory disclosures, lease agreements data(rent fee, capital contributions), incorporation of new companies;
Bank:
- Organization of bank accounts and merchant services(inluding yearly fees review)
- Preparation of cash flow statements for local and group purposes
- Claim unpaid cheques and manual vouchers, payments to the group and external suppliers
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an auditor or in Chief accounting role in a multinational retail company
- Solid knowledge of local accounting practicies, tax and administration legislation
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field; Chartered accountant
- Fluent in English
- Spanish valued
