In Romania the company is present by 1998 and have the headquarter in Bucharest, Calea Floreasca area.
Our client provides services and solutions via three major groups:
- product development services, which provides all clinical research aimed at regulatory approval, and post-launch research and consulting on product safety and value.
- commercialization, responsible for sales force and medical communication services.
- strategic partnering solutions to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies optimize portfolio development, company growth and profits through innovative, tailored financial and strategic solutions.
Main Tasks
Represents delivery of all financial services
Manage accounting and reporting process effectively
Supervise month end closes and corporate reconciliation schedules within the deadlines and instructions of the company’s rule
Supervise any tax calculations and declarations, as well as statistical reports
Supervise annual statutory accounts
Ensure timely and accurate company statutory, tax and management accounting in accordance with the company finance and Romanian GAAP and tax rules,
Review the financial systems, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis for further development of efficiencies within finance department
Develop finance staff according to the company business needs
Supports Country Manager in all decisions and manages execution
Support Management team with the analysis of Quantum project reporting and company management reporting
Control company profitability: control operating costs on country level and facilitate
New procedures to ensure appropriate control levels
Financial evaluation of all investment decisions (purchasing, facility management)
Responsibility for all legal matters excluding HR and/or Operational issues
Establish reasonable internal controls and maintain adequate and current documentation of the systems of internal control
Prepare and maintain the Accounting Policy of the company
Ensure that all processes and decisions are in line with company’s SOPs and local legal/requirements
Management of current assets (liquidity)
Contact person with tax authorities and tax consultants in co-ordination with Finance Department
Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners
Excellent and open communication skills
Hands-on approach, willing to cooperate and support on all organisational levels.
Pro-active and structured working style with a good eye for detail
Absolute personal integrity, high reliability and identification with the company
Advanced Accounting degree / MBA, University degree as Economist or equivalent.
3-year successful professional international experience in Finance and in a
managerial function preferably within a U.S. company.(US GAAP )
Willing to travel
Native Romanian speaker
English – fluent
