BUSINESS OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:
To support the development and manage the delivery of proactive and effective Environment Health & Safety programs in Romania. To ensure EHS is integrated with business management and local legal requirements are met.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Lead, deploy and support the development and implementation of EHS programs in Romania.
To provide a strong knowledge base and consultative support to all business units and operations on Health & Safety programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
-Lead & co-ordinate the development and implementation of assigned Management System standards and associated programs to meet local regulatory requirements and corporate policies/standards/guidelines.
-Leverage processes and programs from other parts of HP delivering generic tools, processes, and packages that support the timely deployment of EHS programs.
-Provide technical expertise and serve as a knowledge expert in areas of Environment, Health & Safety consulting for operations (including use of external consultants).
-Facilitate and maintain the appropriate emergency response and first aid teams for each site
-Lead and manage the operations of the Environment, Health &Safety teams.
-Assist entity management in conducting EH&S assignments and reviews for all sites and businesses unit specific needs.
-Act as a ‘change agent’ to lead management groups to understand and fulfil their EH&S responsibilities and obligations. Facilitate the development and maintenance of a safety culture.
-Provide regular reporting on EH&S performance and program progress to management and EHS subregional & functional management. Conduct internal audits and self assessments against legal requirements and corporate standards.
-Manage OH Health and related activities according to local requirements
-Provide Vendor Management for outsourced EHS activities.
-Manage EHS budgets
-Process and actualize prevention- and protection plans
-Check and promote the trainings and periodical refreshments for employees and performing correcting actions in case of necessity
-Participate on accident/incident or event investigation and making technical reports / perform the root cause analyses.
-Maintain and improve the emergency, preparedness and response plan.
-Manage non conformances and corrective actions ,i.e. internal and external (labor inspectorate)
-Very good English (written and spoken)
-Primary degree in Engineering or Science with relevant experience
-The graduation certificate of the EHS courses (80 hours)
-The graduation certificate of the post-graduation courses of risk assessment (180 hour)
-Strong communication skills
-Minimum 5 years experience (Environmental, Health and Safety)
-Have ability to use MS programs
