Our client is an international company with HQ/production facility in Denmark, as well as a production facility in China. The products are traded worldwide primarily through the marine and power plant sectors. For the manufacturing facility in Brasov we are looking for a Technical Constructor / Project Engineer to manage the design and development processes for OEM clients.
Role:
The Technical Constructor / Project Engineer will primarily concentrate on new client activities as well as on transferring the technology and the production tasks from Denmark to Romania.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the project management towards clients and internal production departments;
Contact to clients in an advisory and technical sparing capacity;
Take individual responsibility for 3-D design and construction;
Preparation of production platform material;
Participation in PPAP procedures, specifically the DFMEA process;
Sparing in connection with PFMEA processes;
Ensure quality procedures and claims management (contribution to 8D reports);
Constantly develop individual competences in the technical and IT fields.
Detailed working knowledge of 3-D construction tools, such as Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works;
Detailed knowledge of current drawing and measurement guidelines;
Experience in a similar position within the metal working industry;
Hands on experience in steel production environments;
Knowledge of welding, bending and cutting operations;
Understanding of client/market driven development processes;
Educational background in one of the following areas: civil or mechanical engineering, machine technology or technical constructions, combined with a practical education;
Knowledge of Concorde /XAL or Navision (or other ERP );
Excellent skills within the Microsoft office suite;
Fluent in English;
Proactive team player who also can work individually with tasks within the defined work boundaries;
Ability to change and adapt quickly when circumstances change;
Have a good understanding of commercial business values;
A structured person with a good sense of detail;
A self starter who can show initiative;
Robust and not afraid to take responsibility.
This is a position that will give the right candidate a key technical role with some of the world’s absolute heavyweight manufacturing companies, and that will inspire him to function within a flat organizational hierarchy, where the path from decision to implementation is short;
The right candidate will, in time, be able to influence his/her position and be able to come aboard in the early development stages of this newest development;
A training period in the Danish head quarter will be expected when the position is occupied.
