RESPONSABILITATI

IDEAL CANDIDATE
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Have working experience in heavy machining and heavy fabrications primarily in heavy equipment industry;
• 10 years minimum experience in Quality/ Process Audits, Quality and Product Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Process Control, Operations Management and Supply Chain Management (Manufacturing Expertise Details: 1st/ 2nd Operations- laser/ plasma cutting, bevel burning, tube lasers, levelers, Metalforming - press brakes, blanking, shears, stamping, hydro forming, tube bending; Welding- both manual and robotic MIG; Machining - Flexible Machining Systems, Horizontal and Vertical Mills/ Lathes of both castings and fabrications; Costing Experience in quoting or assisting in the quoting process for both piece parts and tooling);
• Previous supplier development experience will be a plus;
• Strong ability in organization, quality, product and process trouble-shooting and project management;
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control and Lean Manufacturing;
• Excellent communication skills, can negotiate with client or supplier effectively;
• Good writing, reading and oral communication capability;
• Will have to be capable of being managed via teleconferences/ emails and be able to clearly communicate business cases;
• French – Advanced Level;
• English – Advanced Level;
• Candidates will reside in Romania but will be required to some plants from Belgium along with our European supply base. Travel will be at 25 - 50 % of their time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• To manage early collaboration of product and supplier process to ensure design for manufacturability, assembly, cost and adherence to APQP guidelines;
• To lead the efforts for problem solving in the design and manufacturing;
• To evaluate alternative manufacturing process and support purchasing to meet program cost, quality, common part usage and delivery requirements;
• Analyze supplier process/plant layout, work sequence, fixtures/ tools/ equipment, material flow, and working with both design and the supplier base to execute product improvements for overall quality, manufacturability, and efficiency;
• Main projects the candidates will be working on are providing value anaylsis engineering and design for manufacturing and cost on client parts that have been sourced to suppliers. Parts could have very high cost/ kg ratios or designs that can be simplified or optimized to a manufacturing process.
