Together with one of our clients, a multinational company specialized in the manufacture of racking and storage systems for warehouse storage requirements, we are looking for a Structural Design Engineer based in Brasov.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting structural design calculations for pallet racking and related storage items in compliance with norms and group standards;
- Conducting seismic design calculations for pallet racking and related storage items;
- Devising and overseeing testing of new design items, interpreting results, recommending changes as needed;
- Devising and overseeing routine testing of pallet racking components to comply with norms;
- Preparing technical solutions to meet potential customer requirements for complex projects where structural design is needed;
- Maintaining technical archive of structural calculations to comply with FEM or country specific requirements;
- Taking part to Group decisions regarding structural designs.
- University / Master degree in Structural Engineering / Civil Engineering;
- Minimum 5 experience in structural design of steel structures using computer analysis software and manual calculations;
- Ability to make structural design analysis and calculations;
- Ability to devise structural test programs for sample items and to interpret results;
- Able and willing to make technical decisions;
- Knowledge of thin walled and slender metallic structures;
- English language knowledge (written and spoken to good standard);
- Knowledge of seismic calculations;
- Driving License.
