Our client is a small group of international Danish companies. The companies within the group are market leading, dynamic and visionary with a high growth rate. These companies design and produce a high variety of products among which can be mentioned charge air coolers, cooling towers for industry, piping systems, radiator coolers, exhaust systems and associated equipment for the marine and powerplant industry.
Due to the high growth rate the company is now expanding its activities to Romania by establishing a plant in Brasov. Together we are looking for a Strategic Buyer based in Brasov.
Job role:
The Strategic Buyer will have to establish, develop and maintain a strong supplier platform for the company’s new operation in Barsov area. In cooperation with the Quality Integrator he will be in be in charge of building up a reliable and competitive supplier platform – primarily within steel products and related processes.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying potential suppliers;
• Ensuring qualification of new suppliers;
• Negotiating and establishing supplier contracts;
• Being responsible for the day-to-day communication and follow-up with suppliers;
• Bridging technical specifications/information between suppliers and own technical department;
• Performance reporting.
• Experienced buyer with documented results
• Strong in negotiation and contract writing
• Good technical understanding/knowledge in general
• Experience within some or all of following products:
- cast iron;
- cutting, bending, rolling and welding of sheet metal/steel;
- machining of steel items: CNC milling, etc;
- surface treatment of steel items: painting, hot dip galvanizing, electroplating;
• Strong drive, analytical, persistent and reliable;
• High activity level – can manage effectively more tasks at the same time;
• Strong user of MS Office (Word, Excel);
• Fluent in English (read/write).
• An important and independent job in an international company with strong growth;
• A moderate level of domestic travel;
