The Design Manager will be responsible for the design and R&D department.
The Design Manager will have control of approx 10 staff ( CAD designs and 2 structural engineers)
He will have to:
- develop new products and adaption’s inline with marketing objectives. Products to fully comply with FEM and other applicable standards
- develop special solutions for projects .
- continue product testing activity and to ensure it is effective an timely. This service will also support other Group factories
- ensure that continuous improvement programs are established and monitored and they bring real improvements in all areas of responsibility.
Graduate Mechanical Engineering or similar subject.
At least 6 years post qualification experience, with a record of increasing job responsibility.
Able and willing to provide strong technical leadership able to make design decisions
Minimum 3 years experience in technical leadership role
Minimum 3 years experience in a Mechanical design role
At least 4 years’ experience is a large (>100 person) modern production environment.
Ability to see the big picture while working with the detail to implement effective systems and processes.
Excellent people management and organisational skills.
Good analytical ability
Fluent English is essential
